BES ensures predictability in installation, ease of maintenance, and long-term serviceability by integrating pressure equalization principles into its systems design. Factors considered include evaluation of design loads, building movement, thermal performance, blast mitigation, and acoustical requirements.
Visual Mock-Ups (VMUs) at BES are crucial for selecting, reviewing, and verifying various aspects such as glass coatings, finish palette, ceramic frit colors, shadowbox design, spandrel materials, and exterior features like sunshades and louvers. Additionally, VMUs may include interior elements like window treatment interfaces and column covers.
After system design and material selection, BES manufactures Performance Mock-Ups (PMUs) to represent the building’s exterior facade. These PMUs undergo rigorous testing at independent labs, validating performance specifications for air and water pressures, structural and thermal characteristics, window washing, and re-glazing methodology.
BES’s project management process encompasses pre-construction, design, performance, production, and installation. From initial planning to final execution, BES ensures seamless coordination and adherence to the highest standards of quality and performance throughout every phase of the project.
